Ever since their übernerd genes awoke, Ine and John have been designing, coding, integrating and writing for the web. Before founding Blogfactory, both have jointly been working on various Blogging projects for more than three years.
Many professionals and enterprises tried setting up their own improvised blogging platform, but given the fast evolution of this space and its need for permanent conceptual and technological maintenance, many of these projects were abandoned and now litter the space in BlogoSphere; eventually even harming the company’s or individual’s brand value.
In July 2004, Ine and John realized the answer to this problem exists in what they called a ‘BlogMaster’: An outsourced trustee, who permanently develops, builds and maintains your environment, unleashing the power of Blogs to you, the editor and publisher. Convinced that Micro content and the writeable web is at the very core of any marketing strategy Ine and John set up Blogfactory.
Blogfactory’s offices are located in Brussels, where all projects are coordinated and in Panama’s City of Knowledge’s Technopark, where development takes place. The servers are co-located at Colt in Brussels. Redhat, Apache, PHP/SQL databases, Typepad and Movable Type, XHTML and CSS layout are the main building blocks of Blogfactory’s Blogging environments.
